Running with no clothes may be the next “In Thing” August 20, 2011

Lethbridge Adventure Boot Camp has people losing their clothes.



Socks, shoes and for women a good sports bra are needed for fitness but pants and underwear are coming off……..

Lethbridge Adventure Boot Camp clients are loosing it all:

“I had to run holding my pants up on Thursday. So I broke
down and bought some smaller ones. I also found 5 pairs of pants in my closet
that didn’t use to fit but now they do.”


I too had a problem with my clothes falling off while out running. My shorts have become loose and

were rubbing on my underwear so much so that my underwear started to fall down. I couldn’t even run so off to the park bathroom I went and

away went the underwear. Just one question:

Do I toss the shorts next week when I’m out on my run if they start to fall off  too?”

This is not at all related to fitness but something I wanted to share.
Yesterday I was out practicing the skill of couponing. (it is for sure a skill)
I had several coupons for Aspirin and received a bottle for .49 cents at one store, then found it at another store
where one bottle was .27 cents. WOW what a deal!! I purchased 4 bottles and had 2 coupons left. I saw a Hutterite
gentleman and gave the 2 coupons to him. Today I was shopping and as I was asking a store worker a question a Hutterite woman asked the price of some deodorant. It was on for .79 cents! I asked her if there was more and she said sure there’s enough for you too, and she gave me 3 of hers.
Definite Karma. You never know when you do something kind for someone else if it will come back to you, but when something nice happens to you….. warm fuzzies all over.

When trying to follow an eating plan where you are trying to not skip meals and get the best nutrient intake possible the rules can change…..
You should try to have 5 small meals a day incorporating all food groups with lots of variety. Also consume 8 glasses of water a day.
How do the rules change:
I have clients tell me they are not hungry and skip meals. That is only ok if at your next small meal you keep it small and keep it healthy. If on the other hand you skipped a meal and were starving so you over ate at the next meal this is not ok.
Stick to 5 small meals and only skip if you can keep the next meals under control.
Another tip:
When out for dinner at a friends ask if they are having dessert. You don’t need to deny yourself. Just eat your meal and save room for dessert to eat right away (don’t have any if you wait till later). Be sure it is a small amount and you can still walk away satisfied not full.


Changes at Lethbridge Adventure Boot Camp August 2, 2011

Over the weekend Joe and I were very busy. We took a road trip to Pierce Land Saskatchewan to acquire some fitness equipment. We found some amazing hwy in Saskatchewan. You get only one lane of dirt and sand mixed with large potholes.
Due to no one else stupid enough to drive these roads we were lucky not to meet anyone coming the other way. I seriously have no idea what would have happened, a moving van can’t just drive down a deep ditch to avoid a car. We left Friday and stayed in Camrose then loaded the equipment in 4hours. Then back to Camrose for an over night and then on to Lethbridge to unload in 2 hours, then the work began….
In a day we re-arranged the equipment and back to training clients. We have a large area for one-on-one weight training, room for boot camp classes, a cardio section, space for one-on-one cardio and a boxing ring. WOW things are looking good!
