Another Great Start May 30, 2011

What a beautiful morning we had today to start off our next boot camp! The forecast said rain but the only thing present was the wonderful fresh and crisp morning air and the always great sunrise. I would like to congratulate all of the boot campers on their hard work this morning. The workout they went through was no piece of cake ūüėČ I also want to give a BIG welcome to all of the new campers and welcome back those that are returning. I’m looking forward to helping you reach your health and fitness goals by providing you with the motivation, encouragement and workouts needed to reach them. See all of you boot campers in the morning for another great outdoor workout! * fingers are crossed that we don’t get more of that ‘wet’ stuff *


How You Can Help Out People in Slave Lake May 27, 2011

June 6 ‚Äď June 10 Lethbridge Adventure Boot Camp staff are donating the funds collected from a week of boot camp classes to the people of Slave Lake. 100% of the funds collected for this week are being donated to help out the community of Slave Lake. You must register prior to camp to participate. Don’t live in the Lethbridge area? For Calgary and Edmonton areas contact us and we will let you know which locations are putting on an event in your area. If you live outside of these areas, make a donation during June 1 – 10 to a group in your area eg. Red Cross, scan the receipt and email it to us and we will email you an eating plan and 4 workouts you can do on your own.

The camps being offered in Lethbridge are:
5:30am ‚Äď 6:30am Monday – Friday for 5 days
This camp is for men, woman and young teens (who have a parent participating with them)
This camp will be outdoors at Henderson Lake

9am -9:45am Monday ‚Äď Friday for 5 days
This camp is for men and woman, and will take place indoors at Lethbridge Adventure Boot Camp,
1720 2nd ave South

10:00 am ‚Äď 11:00 am Monday / Wednesday / Thursday Adventure Baby Camp
This camp is for Baby and an adult. The adult will participate in the exercises while interacting with the baby who is in the stroller. This camp will take place indoors/outdoors at Lethbridge Adventure Boot Camp, 1720 2nd ave South
(Camp size is limited to 10 participants)

1:30pm -2:30pm Monday / Wednesday / Thursday Low Impact Camp
This camp is for men and women who enjoy movement exercises with low impact. This camp will take place indoors at Lethbridge Adventure Boot Camp, 1720 2nd ave South

4:45pm ‚Äď 5:45pm Monday ‚Äď Friday for 5 days
This camp is for men, woman and young teens (who have a parent participating with them)
This camp will be outdoors at Nicholas Sheran Park West

6pm ‚Äď 7pm Monday ‚Äď Friday for 5 days
This camp is for men, woman and young teens (who have a parent participating with them)
This camp will be outdoors at Nicholas Sheran Park West

There is no set amount to donate 100% of the funds collected will be donated in the form of a business cheque from Lethbridge Adventure Boot Camp. If for any reason you do not feel comfortable with this form of donation but still want to participate in a boot camp class. No problem make a donation to The Salvation Army between June 1 and June 6, show us your receipt and we will get you registered in the camp of your choice.

Not interested in Lethbridge Adventure Boot Camp Classes but still want to help out?
– Donations may be given to The Salvation Army, or to Lethbridge Adventure Boot Camp.

Writing down these two groups helped me to define whether a task should be done by me or a hired person. Everyone needs a little less stress in their life!
Try it and compare lists with some friends maybe they like to do something you don’t !


Life is too short May 24, 2011

Life is too short to wake up with regrets.
So love the people who treat you right.
Forget about the ones who don’t.

This saying totally fits my day !
We had something stolen from our house from a teen who was living with us. We asked him to move back to his parents and informed his parents why we were asking him to leave. Just the other day we saw the item up for sale on kijiji and confronted his parents and him. The dad was not happy that we would even question his son and of course the son denied the item was ours. Now I know what I’m going to say next is crazy to most………. we are having a friend purchase the item back because either way it needs to be replaced.

So the quote above just makes me smile. It’s not about winning or losing, right or wrong. It’s about how I will feel and whether I need to waste any more time stressing over the matter.

On a side note I had the most amazing training day today. My Boot Camp clients worked so hard today it was awesome !!!!

3 Vegetables That Fight Abdominal Fat May 19, 2011

I bet you didn’t know that there is a specific class of vegetables that contain very specific phytonutrients that actually help to fight against stubborn belly fat.

Let me explain what these unique vegetables¬†are and why they help to burn stomach fat…

Chemicals that force your body to hold onto belly fat

Something you may have never heard about is that certain chemicals in our food supply and our environment, such as pesticides, herbicides, and certain petrochemicals from air and water pollution, household cleaners, cosmetics, etc can react with your body and make your body store excess abdominal fat.
